Biography
Amira Badr is a licensed speech therapist from Sudan who earned her bachelor’s degree from UAE University. Amira holds a professional certificate in speech, language, and swallowing disorders and has four years of professional experience. She completed extensive training at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Hospital, where she was trained in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, social, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in a variety of different patient populations, from young children with special challenges to elderly stroke victims. Prior to joining Reem Hospital, Amira worked as a speech therapist at multiple medical centers where she enriched her knowledge and acquired the necessary needed skills. She has experience in helping patients manage their speech and language disorders, stuttering, swallowing, and feeding problems. She is also an expert in dealing with patients with various conditions such as autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, speech delay, swallowing and feeding problems.
