Dr. Andrew is a highly skilled general surgeon with 30 years of experience at top London hospitals, now bringing his expertise to Abu Dhabi. Specializing in bariatric surgery for weight loss and diabetes, he offers various procedures, including gastric sleeve, bypass, band, and revisional surgery. Additionally, he provides treatment for acid reflux disease (heartburn), gallstones, all types of hernia repair, and abdominal pain.
As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a holder of a Master of Surgery title for his research thesis, Dr. Andrew is affiliated with esteemed organizations like the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society, the International Federation of Surgery for Obesity, the Association of Upper GI Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Passionate about professionalism, care, and integrity, Dr. Andrew was drawn to a surgical career at an early age and qualified from Medical School at just 23. He underwent rigorous residency and fellowship training, with placements at prestigious London teaching hospitals, including the world-renowned Hammersmith Hospital, Royal London Hospital, and University College London Hospital.
With a strong interest in surgical research, his Master of Surgery thesis focused on laparoscopic surgery for acid reflux. Dr. Andrew has since published over 80 research papers and presentations and actively contributes to training junior surgeons in the UK, Europe, America, and the Gulf.
