Dr. Jassem Abdou is a Consultant in Pulmonary Medicine and the Head of the Department at Reem Hospital. He is a French board-certified specialist in pulmonary medicine from the University of Lille, France, since 1989, with over three decades of experience in his field. After several years of practice in France, he relocated to the UAE in 1992.

During his career, he dedicated 18 years to Zayed Military Hospital, from 1998 to 2017, serving as a Consultant in Pulmonary Medicine and Internal Medicine. His responsibilities included both inpatient and outpatient care, and he actively contributed to the education of students pursuing Arab Board certification in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Abdou’s commitment to advancing his field is evident through his participation in various research studies focusing on conditions such as COPD, Asthma, and Sleep Apnea. In 2023, he joined Health-point Hospital, where he served as a Consultant and the Head of the Pulmonary Medicine Department and Subspecialty. There, he specialized in the treatment of mild to severe cases of Asthma, COPD, chest infections, and Sleep Apnea, often utilizing CPAP machines for therapy.

Additionally, Dr. Abdou is a proud member of both the European Respiratory Society and the Emirates Respiratory Society, further demonstrating his dedication to the field of pulmonary medicine.
