Dr. Pradeep Bala specializes in complex shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand microsurgery at the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department of Reem Hospital. He is an Australian Orthopedic Association (AOA) Accredited fellow in hand & upper limb surgery, arthroplasty and sports surgery, and an Indian board-certified orthopedic surgeon.

His medical journey began in 1996, at Christian Medical College Vellore India, and he completed orthopedic residency at MP Shah Medical College, Saurashtra University, Gujarat, India in 2009. He then completed an ISAKOS accredited arthroscopy and arthroplasty fellowship at Ortho One, Coimbatore in India in 2010. He furthered his learning with 4 years of Fellowship training in Adelaide, South Australia from 2015 to 2019.

Dr. Bala has performed over 5000 surgical procedures, specializing in shoulder, elbow, and hand surgery. He has contributed to research on navigation-based joint replacement and novel cement spacer techniques for infected joint replacements in the shoulder. Dr. Bala was part of the team that performed the first robotic joint replacement in South Australia in 2016.

He is an invited international faculty member for hand and upper limb surgery in India. He is a life member of several professional societies, including the Australian Orthopedic Association, Asia Pacific Orthopedic Association Hand and Upper Limb Society, Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand, Shoulder and Elbow society of India, Indian Arthroscopy Society, Emirates Society for Surgery of the Hand, and Arab shoulder and Elbow Association.

His expertise includes shoulder, elbow, and wrist (upper limb) arthroscopy, joint replacements, fracture surgery, ligament repair, tendon reconstruction, microsurgery, and infection/tumor surgery for the upper limb.
