Dr. Maed Khalifeh Tamer

Dr. Maed brings over 28 years of experience as a surgeon and trainer, specializing in breast, thyroid, parathyroid, and laparoscopic general surgery.

After completing his medical degree at Tishreen University and a Master’s in Surgery at Damascus University, Dr. Maed traveled to the UK for higher surgical training. He obtained a Diploma from the prestigious Imperial College London, followed by a Master’s degree from the University of London and Membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He later moved to one of the largest teaching hospitals in Syria, where he trained young surgeons in breast and endocrine surgery and established a specialist service for the region. In 2009, Dr. Maed relocated to the UAE and has since been working in Abu Dhabi, where he has spent the past 16 years enhancing his expertise and providing advanced surgical care. He also regularly performs complex laparoscopic surgical procedures.

Dr. Maed is a passionate trainer and a strong advocate of a multidisciplinary approach to managing surgical conditions.
