Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi is a senior cardiologist with nearly 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He has been practicing cardiology in Abu Dhabi since 2008, bringing with him extensive expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi founded and led the Cardiology Department of a private healthcare institution for nearly 18 years. He also has significant experience in medical leadership, having served as a Medical Director, chaired the Continuous Medical Education (CME) Committee, and been a member of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi played an instrumental role in maintaining compliance with health authority standards, advancing clinical governance, promoting ongoing professional development, and upholding high clinical standards.
Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi’s clinical interests span general and preventive cardiology, as well as imaging cardiology, with a particular focus on echocardiography. He also has a special interest in aviation cardiology and has been an approved Aeromedical Examiner for the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) since 2009.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Center at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where he completed three years of internal medicine residency, earning the Best Resident Award in 2002. He then pursued a three-year cardiology fellowship. Dr. Elie A. Zoghbi also completed nearly two years of clinical core rotations at Ealing Hospital in Middlesex, England, an affiliate of Imperial College London University.
