Covid-19 Vaccination is available in our Rehabilitation Department at Reem Hospital  from Saturday – Thursday (9:00 am to 8:00 pm).
Reem Hospital provides both (Sinopharm) and (Pfizer-BioNTech) Covid-19 vaccination which is available for UAE nationals and Residents aged 16 years and above. 

The Vaccine is free of charge and you may book your appointment in advance by reaching out to us through our call center number 800 7 444. Our Patient Relations Executives will be asking you a few questions to check that you are eligible for the vaccine before selecting a convenient date and time. 
 

Kindly note that you will need to have a Consent Form signed and stamped by your doctor before clearing you to receive the vaccine. The signed and stamped form should be brought with you at your vaccine appointment as well.

Who can take the vaccine?

All UAE Residents and Nationals with valid Emirates ID and aged 16 years old and above.

What is the cost of the vaccine?

The vaccine is free of charge.

Who is exempt from the vaccine?​

People with chronic illnesses and diseases (as per the physician consultation).​ Volunteers who participated in the volunteering COVID-19 vaccination trials.​ Active Covid-19 patients.​ Pregnant women (there is insufficient information until now on the safety of the vaccine in pregnancy). ​Those who previously had severe allergies to vaccinations. 

How many doses do vaccinee need to receive?​

If you have never been tested positive, you may receive 2 doses of the vaccination (3-4 weeks interval). If you have been tested positive and willing to take your vaccination after 6 months of exposure, then your physician shall advise on the appropriate dosage.​

Do you have a drive-thru service?

No, we do not provide a drive-thru service at the moment.​

Is an appointment needed for vaccination?

You would need a prior appointment and you may book it by calling 800 7 444.​

What are the side effects of the vaccine?​

Reported side effects to COVID-19 vaccines have mostly been mild to moderate and short-lasting. They include fever, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, chills, diarrhea, and pain at the injection site. The chances of any of these side effects following vaccination differ according to the specific COVID-19 vaccine you’ve taken. 

I’m unable to take the second dose on my appointment date, can I have it changed to another day?​

It is important to keep record of the second dose appointment and adhere to attend, to ensure the required level of immunity and the maximum benefit from the vaccine. It is recommended to take the second dose in the same facility where the first dose was taken. The second dose of the vaccine should be administered as close to the second dose schedule as possible. If for any reason there is an unavoidable delay, contact us to reschedule the appointment.​

Will the vaccine give me protection from the COVID-19 virus?

The COVID-19 vaccine will reduce the chance of transmission and spread of COVID-19 infection to others. However, you will still be at risk if you refrain from following the precautionary measures by wearing a mask and keeping a safe distance between you and others.​

What should I do if I experience side effects after taking the vaccine?​

You may call 024493333 (option number 3) to notify side effects (in Emirate of Abu Dhabi), or you can go to the nearest healthcare facility if needed.​

Can I receive a booster after taking Sinopharm vaccine?

Yes, you may receive a Pfizer- BioNTech booster after 6 months from your Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccine.
