Balakrishnan Thangaraj is a Physiotherapist at Reem Hospital with broad experience of more than 25 years in the field. He has a combined solid experience in various healthcare settings from India, UAE, and the UK. He has obtained his bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Science, India, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatric Care from K.M.M Academy of Health Sciences, in India.
In addition to his outstanding educational background, Balakrishnan holds several certificates in clinical practices and therapy and is affiliated with distinguished bodies like the Health and Care Professions Council and the Indian Association of Physiotherapy. Before joining Reem Hospital, Balakrishnan was working with prominent healthcare facilities as the NHS healthcare providers in the UK and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in the UAE, where he was leading and training physiotherapy teams and students and managing musculoskeletal as well as neurological patients.
Balakrishnan is very knowledgeable in many treatment techniques as myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, dry needling, and personalized exercise prescriptions.
